~Teddy JR ~

Let me take you back in time
When I was a child over 30 years ago
My Nana was a Ferguson born and raised
In the country greenlands of a small town
Name Senora, Kentucky she resided
Until she moved to Jamestown, Kentucky
With my Grandfather, whom I had once upon a time called Papaw…

I mention my Nana and my Papaw
Is due to a little White Teddy Bear
They gave me as a gift when I came into this world.
As their one and only granddaughter.

Even though this later came with a cost.
That I would have to deal with over years
That is not what this is about this day…

But of a story about a replacement bear for keeping a memory alive
In the heart of a small Country Girl whose heart is open

A Young Naive me gave away the original bear I was given
To a man whom I thought I had once loved, but I was heart broken instead
When this happened I later found out my pour Teddy Bear, My BeeBee was burned

My Prince Charming Christopher heard this story
He asked me if I would like to recreate the bear that was taken away from me
Of Course I said yes, and when that day came
That was the day that Teddy Jr, aka BeeBee 2.0 (II) was born.

On the way home that day Teddy Jr, may not have been present with us
However, He became the center of the conversation that evening
About a Bear and about a Giraffe that made me fill with laughter

So, I share the story of the Bear and the Giraffe below
To where if you truly understand my tale maybe you will be filled with laughter too:

After I had told my Prince of this tale, he took it upon himself to recreate my special Teddy Bear as a special Gift to me. We went to Build-A-Bear and we recreated BeeBee, my Teddy. I named the Teddy Bear, Teddy Jr (BeeBee 2.0). Even though I had lost my original, I now had another one to make up for giving away my heart in the first place. The day we had made Teddy Jr. We had went out to Deer Lake as we were coming home, because a friend of mine had a gig out there and had invited us if we wanted to go. (This was not the first time we had went to go hear her sing and perform.) When we had gotten to Deer Lake, we had left the newly created Teddy Bear in the Car, before we went into the restaurant.

I was wearing a little black dress with heels. After dancing part of the night away while enjoying friends' company, when we sat down at the table for a breather our friend came and started talking with us because she was taking a few minute break from singing herself. She decided to come to our table for part of her break. Her and I had been talking, and I had mentioned the kind gesture from my Prince about the Bear that he had made for me from Build-A-Bear.

When All of a sudden out of nowhere He had then mentioned the “Bear is home with the Giraffe. He is in good hands. It's all good.” Even though it had been a partial white lie… For the life of me, at the time, as soon as he said that, I started busting up laughing incredibly hard and I couldn't stop laughing. I had to remove myself from the table, after grabbing my inhaler from my purse and walk towards the window to calm down, so I could breathe. Because all I could do was look at him and look at Her and I just couldn't stop laughing between the two of them. Once I walked towards the window, I had to use my inhaler and look out the window away from them in order to breathe to calm myself.

After dancing the night away, and we went back, I held my Teddy Jr grinning
From ear to ear and trying not to break out into more uncontrollable laughter.

This same Teddy Jr, BeeBee 2.0 came to our wedding not that long after that
Wearing a tux that makes him look incredible for a toy that fills my heart
With Love and Joy all from just being a part of my life,
Having a silly story that is now shared with the world.

My Teddy Jr, may only be a stuffed animal
But he will forever be so much more than that in my heart to me.
